How it works
A lot of Marathi on Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp is typed in English letters: "aaj aapan kay banavnar aahot". It reads quickly for people who speak Marathi every day but rarely type Devanagari, and it works in every caption font.
This converter rewrites Marathi from Devanagari into English letters the way Marathi speakers actually type it, not letter by letter. Spoken endings come out as they are said (केलं becomes "kela", झालं becomes "jhala"), silent vowels are dropped (घरच्या becomes "gharchya"), and English words written in Marathi come back as English, so व्हिडिओ becomes "video" and लाईक becomes "like".

Converting subtitle files
Upload an .srt, .vtt or .txt file and only the Marathi text changes. Caption numbers, timestamps and any English already in the file stay exactly as they are, so the file goes straight back into Premiere Pro, CapCut or DaVinci Resolve with the timing intact.
How accurate is it?
The converter follows fixed spelling rules for Marathi plus a list of common words, and it runs entirely in your browser. Everyday Marathi comes out clean. Names, rare words and some long compounds can come out spelled a little differently from how you would write them, because there is no single correct way to write Marathi in English letters. Read the result once and fix anything that looks off.
Nothing you paste is uploaded or stored.

Is this Marathi converter free?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no limit, because the conversion runs in your browser rather than on a server.
Does it translate Marathi into English?
No. It changes the script, not the language. The words stay Marathi and are written in English letters, so "मला खूप आवडलं" becomes "mala khup aavadla", not "I liked it a lot".
Can I convert an SRT subtitle file?
Yes. Upload the .srt, .vtt or .txt file and download the converted copy. Timestamps and numbering are left untouched.
Why is a word spelled differently from how I write it?
People write Marathi in English letters in different ways (aahe or ahe, jhala or zala). The converter picks a common form. Edit the result box directly if you prefer another spelling.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The text never leaves your device.
