About DesiCaptions

DesiCaptions is built and run by Tushar Wasake. It started with one problem: Indian creators speak Hindi, English and everything in between in the same sentence, and the caption tools they had were built for one language at a time.

Today it captions Hindi, Hinglish, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati and Urdu, each in Roman script (the way people type it in comments) or in the language's own script, with bundled fonts that keep every conjunct intact, plus English translated from any of them. Every word is timed, so 23 caption templates can highlight speech word by word, and you export a burned-in video or SRT, VTT and ASS files.
